This initiative envisions working as a knowledge hub for those who are interested in joining or starting a citizen science project. It is also called collaborative science or volunteer science. This is an opportunity for all citizens to be a part of science regardless of their educational background.
Anyone can be a citizen scientist! Regardless of your background, any one can participate in or initiate a citizen science project. You can create your own project on a citizen science platform depending on the area of your interest, most of the platforms and tools mentioned on the website is free of cost.

The training programmes listed on the website are programmes offered by other organisations and educational platforms, some of which are paid. Citsci India does not provide any training courses as of now. You can follow CCSBI (Centre for citizen science and biodiversity informatics, KFRI) website and social media if you are interested in doing basic training programmes in the future.
No! Citizen science has immense potential on different field of science including Biodiversity research, ecology, Astronomy, environmental science, quantom science, brain research, social science, psychology etc. There are many projects and platforms carrying out citizen science on these subjects.
No, CitSci India platform is solely focuses on biodiversity and environmental science. Aim of this platform is to promote the use of citizen science in such subjects so that quality scientific data can be generated for effective management of nature and natural resources.
